Our convenient downtown location offers two large indoor play areas tailored for large dogs and small dogs, where they can be active with friends of their same size and activity level. Daycare encourages socialization and helps curbs destructive behavior and anxiety. At Updawg Pet Hotel our trained daycare professionals continuously monitor and supervise all dogs.

When joining Updawg, every dog is carefully screened and evaluated on an individualized basis to assess socialization skills and separation issues.

SOCIALIZATION DAY

Every dog is different — and we want to give yours the best possible start.

Before joining regular daycare, new dogs complete a Socialization Day with our team.

Introducing dogs carefully helps us create safer, happier, and more compatible playgroups for everyone.

Socialization Days allow our team to learn your dog's personality before they become part of the regular pack — while giving your dog an opportunity to learn about us, too.

After all, we're meeting someone very important to you. We think they're worth taking the time to get it right.

What Happens During a Socialization Day?

Rather than immediately placing a new dog into a full playgroup, our team takes time to get to know them. Throughout the day, we will:

  • Give your dog time to settle in and become familiar with our staff and facility.

  • Observe their comfort level, body language, and response to a new environment.

  • Introduce them to other dogs gradually and thoughtfully.

  • Evaluate their play style, communication, energy level, and ability to take breaks or respond to redirection.

  • Determine which playgroup, routine, and level of activity best suits their personality.

Every Dog Socializes Differently. Some dogs walk in ready to make twenty new best friends. Others need a little more time — and that's okay!

A dog who is nervous, overwhelmed, overly excited, or simply unsure during their first visit isn't necessarily a poor fit for daycare. Our team may recommend additional daycare, smaller or more carefully selected playgroups, shorter periods of group play, or more individualized care while your dog becomes comfortable.

In some cases, we may determine that traditional group daycare isn't the best environment for a particular dog. If that happens, we'll talk with you about what we observed and discuss other care options that may better meet your dog's needs.

What Owners Should Know

  • Plan for a full visit. Socialization isn't something we want to rush. Giving your dog time to settle in allows us to see how they behave once the initial excitement or nervousness of arriving somewhere new has worn off. It also gives all rotations of pet handlers the chance to meet your special pup!

  • Plan to arrive early. Our socialization windows are early - between 6 am and 7 am with few exceptions. This allows us to introduce your pup into the daycare early on before the pack grows, affording them the opportunity to meet individual dogs as they arrive for the day.

  • Plan in advance. We do not accept same-day appointments for Socializations outside an emergency. Our entire socialization program revolves around an early morning drop-off and a full day of engagement to evaluate your pup.

  • Socialization is about more than play. We look at how your dog communicates with other dogs, responds to our Pet Handlers, handles excitement, respects boundaries, takes breaks, and recovers when they become overstimulated.

  • We'll let you know how they did. Our team will share what we observed and let you know whether your pup is ready for regular daycare or if we recommend more daycare or a different approach. You will get a Report Card with details!

  • Group daycare isn't right for every dog. Some wonderful dogs simply don't enjoy large-group play. If we believe your dog would be happier with individualized care, we'll discuss those options with you.

PASSES & PRICING

Updawg has several passes available for purchase. Our intention is to help save you money over standard daily daycare rates.

Additionally, each pass can be upgraded to a VIP PASS. The VIP Pass consists of a thorough rinse-off and towel dry - with a spritz of fragrance - after each daycare playday. The current fragrances vary by season.

SOCIALIZATION

Socialization (all new dogs) $40

  • Socializations include a FREE, complimentary rinse off.

  • Socialization is FREE when you purchase a pass on day of socialization.

  • Socialization fees may be more for aggressive, nonsocial dogs.

Don’t forget to bring your vaccination records or send them in advance!

DAILY DAYCARE

Full Day Daily Daycare

  • One Dog: $40 per day

  • Two Dogs: $70 per day

  • Three Dogs: $90 per day

Half Day Daily Daycare

  • One Dog: $30 (for any four hours)

  • Two Dogs: $50 (for any four hours)

  • Three Dogs: $65 (for any four hours)

5-DAY & 10-DAY PASSES

5-Day Pass (Starter)

  • One Dog: $150 | VIP $165

  • 10-Day Pass

  • One Dog: $260 | VIP $290

  • Two Dogs: $390 | VIP $440

  • Three Dogs: $500 | VIP $550

Term passes are good for any day of the week, including weekends.

Term passes expire after 3 months.

If you are a current pass holder and have an extenuating circumstance, we will happily extend your pass.

MONTHLY PASSES

Unlimited Updawg Pass

Updawg passes have a 31 day period, during which ALL daycare is covered.

Unlimited monthly pass is 7 days a week!

Updawg pass holders receive a $20 discount to boarding every night per dog. These discounts stack with all others (such as military, extended stay, etc.)

CUDDLE TIME ADD-ON

Cuddle time is the lingo we use to describe any individualized care for your pup. This could be playing games of fetch, literal snuggling, or any request that requires specialized care.

Purchasing the 10 Day or Monthly Cuddle Pass guarantees 15 minutes of cuddling for your dog each day they are in daycare.
